Angry woman: “ Do you ever think about slowing down?”
Me: “I was not driving fast” and walks away while thinking, actually no, I am usually thinking about how to go faster.
TLDR: I stopped in a parking lot to let a pedestrian cross the lot, then she yelled at me for apparently driving too fast? If I was going too fast would I have been able to stop in 3 feet without drama like I did to let you cross the parking lot.

I like driving down the road at the speed limit and someone lady walking her dog motions me to slow down. It’s always some older lady walking her dog to.

I had someone step out in front of me in a parking lot a couple weeks ago who had the same exasperated expression. Like they stepped out between two parked cars into my path, and there’s NO WAY they didn’t hear me. Meanwhile I was puttering around so slowly I was wondering if I should just roll (much more quietly) in neutral before I stalled the car (so literally 4-5mph).
When can I just move to my cabin in the mountains and mail order all my groceries?

That’s happened to me as well. County road, 35 mph speed limit, going maybe 30 around a corner angry person yells to slow down. Almost makes me want to speed for real.

... and my datsun is not exactly quite...
This is basically what happened. She stepped out from between cars without looking if there were any cars coming into the parking lot and I didn’t see here until she stepped out. Also she got into a mint 1970's Chevelle that her husband was driving. I’m guessing he was cringing on the inside.

There was construction on a road I have to frequent and the detour went through a residential area. The residents put up a bunch of signs and warnings like they were being invaded. As I was stopped to turn I got yelled at by a resident because I was “zooming” through. I was going 22 in a 25 zone. People see what they want to see.

I tried that last week and wasn’t thrilled with it but maybe I’ll give another store a shot if the Fiat isn’t done soon. Or I’ll walk to Walgreens and buy a few cans of soup.
It was a lot of “ok spaghetti and Italian sausage sounds good...wait, they want HOW MUCH for Italian sausage? Ok maybe I’ll do taco salads this week instead...ok, no taco seasoning available. Peanut butter and jelly it is.”

Ive ordered groceries delivered at home in LA. But I am in a large city so it kind of makes sense that that sort of thing would be available. It was pretty neat to get the things at the same price as the store, picked out by someone else, and then delivered to me. Sure there was like a $10 service fee for a store about 1.5 miles away but it was fine considering the convenience. The bigger annoyance was getting some of the wrong things but its still a neat service.

I’ve experienced people angrily honking at me after driving past them, perhaps they think my exhaust makes noise or passed them too quickly? Idk, I am driving a relatively stock miata so I am not doing either of those things in reality. Or better are passing people going 5 under only to realize I am now going 30-40 over in order to actually get ahead of them by the time I have completed my pass because they decided it was time to drag race rather than be passed.
The street yellers though are ALWAYS the annoying NIMBY people that live on canyon roads around here. They decide the street is for going on walks or some shit rather than public roadway for driving. I dont like to speed and have no need to exceed 5-10 over most of the time, especially on nice twisty roads. So its annoying for those people to yell at me when meanwhile its usually a jackass in a Prius blowing by at 20+ over in a neighborhood with no regard.

There’s an older gentleman (unsure
where he lives, not one of my direct neighbors
) that walks his dog on the semi major road that runs parallel to my back yard. He screamed
at just about every passing car to slow down, multiple times per week for months.
I began yelling back
, “P
ipe down, you’re annoying us
” whenever I
heard him out there. After a few weeks he stopped, and hasn’t done it since to the best of my knowledge.

In our old neighborhood, there was a 25 mph speed limit. There was a 90 degree, downhill,
pretty blind corner close to our house. People would take it way too fast, especially since there’s always lots of kids around. My wife was pissed at them for “speeding”, so one time I showed her what 25 mph through that corner looks like... The corner really needed a 15 mph limit.

The people who speed up while I am trying to overtake them on the highway are the worst . You were going the speed limit, why are you now going 10 over just as I’m starting to pass you?
Same goes for the people who unknowingly slow down as they pass me. You were coming up awfully fast a minute ago, why are you now essentially sitting in my blind spot (if I had my mirrors incorrectly set up) instead of passing me? Thanks for taking away my option to move over if I come up on a slower car in my lane.
I just change my speed briefly to remedy either situation, but both scenarios seem to happen countless times whenever I'm on a long drive.

The police charge them with that but I’m still left with broken stuff and if I’m not correct my only recourse would be civil action to get anything from the person. They’re still ruining my day, hard.

You forgot about the person who you come up on who is going just 2 mph faster than a car 200 yards farther up , but is already sitting in the passing lane (having just passed a car going 5 under the speed limit) so that you whom are going 10 mph faster than MR. I AM PASS ING won’t change out of the passing lane, but won’t speed up either; thereby, blocking you next to mr. 5 under until it is too late to pass anyone.

I can top that. I was stopped at a light, in a line of cars, and a constable next to me motioned me to roll down my window. I did, and he said, “You’re following too close to the car in front of you.” I said, “We’re stopped at a light.” He said, “Right, and you’ve stopped too close to him.” I was no closer than any other car, and no closer than he was to the car in front of him. I just smiled and said “Thanks” and rolled my window up. There was no point to the discussion continuing.
